Job summary

PrimeCare Medical is seeking a Psychiatric Technician to support the Chester County Prison in West Chester, PA. The role is Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, during normal business hours (8:00am-4:30pm).

You will assist in coordinating the behavioral health program, conduct psycho-educational groups and individual sessions for seriously mentally ill inmates, and help prevent suicide by timely reporting concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related Human Services field with mental health coursework required.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement the behavioral health program within the facility.
• Engage inmates in psycho-educational groups and individual sessions.
• Assist with suicide risk detection and report concerns promptly.
• Coordinate admission and placement in forensic/community facilities; initiate paperwork.
• Document clinical services in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Monitor inmates on segregation units and track required supplies.
• Participate in committees and in-service education; maintain confidentiality.
