Job summary

WellSpan York Hospital is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to support the care of psychiatric patients and maintain a therapeutic unit environment on the day/evening shift. This full-time role runs 7a–7p and includes every third weekend and rotating holidays, averaging 72 hours over two weeks.

You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and help the healthcare team provide safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification preferred; some college social science considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to patients with safety, comfort and therapeutic environment in mind.
• Assists team in patient care and evaluation.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Checks patient vital signs and charts observations accurately.
• May apply restraints or assist with seclusion under physician/RN supervision.
