WellSpan York Hospital is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant and Activity Specialist for the Behavioral Health Inpatient unit in York, PA. The role supports therapeutic activities, assists with care plans, and helps patients cope with stress while ensuring safety and comfort in a collaborative team environment.

Shift is evenings (1445-2315) with 40 hours over two weeks (0.5 FTE). Requires High School Diploma, 1 year healthcare experience, and Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• 1 year Healthcare experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to document findings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and monitors the patient’s plan of care.
• Performs nursing assistant duties.
• Assists with behavioral symptom management and coping strategies.
• Supports care team with discharge planning and care plan updates.
• Encourages patient participation in activities and documents engagement.
• Provides safe, comfortable direct care and therapeutic environment.
