Job summary

Ethan's Crossing in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Night Shift Mental Health Technician to help create a serene environment for healing and support patients through overnight recovery.

The role emphasizes vigilance, safety, and clear communication with the RN to ensure continuity of care and a calm treatment milieu overnight.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Vigilance: Conduct routine safety checks, frequent rounding, and ongoing patient observations to promote safety and well-being throughout the night.
• Uphold Standards: Accurately perform and document required clinical tasks, including vital signs, patient searches, and other safety procedures in accordance with facility policies.
• Communicate for Continuity of Care: Promptly report changes in patient behavior, condition, or safety concerns to the RN to support timely intervention and continuity of care.
• Maintain a Therapeutic Environment: Monitor the treatment milieu, manage visitor access in accordance with facility policies, and help maintain a calm, structured, and secure environment conducive to healing.
• Support Recovery Around the Clock: Provide compassionate, respectful patient interactions while reinforcing boundaries, promoting emotional safety, and supporting each patient’s journey toward recovery.
