Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our residential team in Peterborough, NH. You’ll manage daily operations, support the BHT team, and help maintain a warm recovery environment that supports client engagement and safety.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification preferred, and strong interpersonal skills with a genuine commitment to recovery principles. Training will be provided; weekend shifts available.

• Ensure client and BHT compliance with all Avenues policies.

What You’ll Do

• Manage all daily residential operations (i.e. intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications, etc.)
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities
• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures

We are now hiring BHTs for: First shift (7a-3p) and Weekends

What We’re Looking For

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles
