Job summary

Kid's Thrive Toledo is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to support children with behavioral and mental health needs in a safe, structured setting. The role focuses on helping children grow, learn, and thrive through therapeutic programming and daily routines.

You will work directly with children, implement individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with clinical staff while upholding professional boundaries and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and supervision to children in a behavioral health setting.
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
• Support the implementation of individualized treatment and behavioral support plans.
• Encourage positive behaviors, coping skills, emotional regulation, and social development.
• Assist children with daily routines, activities, and therapeutic programming.
• Observe, document, and report behavioral changes, progress, and concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Respond to challenging behaviors using approved de-escalation techniques and facility procedures.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and other team members to promote positive outcomes.
• Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and compliance with facility policies.
• Treat every child with dignity, respect, patience, and compassion.
