Job summary

Kid's Thrive Central is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct care and supervision for children receiving behavioral health services in a day-shift, full-time role. You will work closely with clinical staff to implement treatment plans and promote safe, supportive environments for children.

The successful candidate is patient, compassionate, observant, and able to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in behavioral health, psychology, education, social services, or related field is a plus.
• Previous experience working with children preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health or related settings is helpful.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, supervision, and support to children in a behavioral health setting.
• Assist with implementing individualized treatment and behavioral support plans under clinical staff guidance.
• Monitor and document children's behaviors, activities, and progress.
• Use approved behavioral interventions and de-escalation techniques when needed.
• Encourage positive behaviors, social skills, and independence.
• Maintain a safe, structured environment and protect client confidentiality.
• Communicate effectively with therapists, supervisors, caregivers and care team.
• Participate in staff meetings, training and ongoing professional development.
