Job summary

Valley Hospital is seeking exceptional Behavioral Health Technicians to join our team for the Day Shift. The role involves active patient care, supervision, and modeling under the direction of a Registered Nurse in a private psychiatric hospital.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus combination of behavioral health education and work experience totaling 4 years; or an Associate degree plus two years of behavioral health experience; or a Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field.
• CPR certification upon hire and must be renewed annually.
• Successful completion of SAMA including restraint and seclusion policies within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients.
• Take and record vital signs; monitor patient location per the Observation Policy and Procedure.
• Observe and document changes in a patient’s appearance, behavior or progress toward treatment plan goals; communicate changes to the nurse.
