El Paso Behavioral Health System, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Mental Health Technician to join the treatment team. You will provide continuous patient care and supervise patients aged 5 through geriatrics on various units under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, CNA preferred, and a degree in related therapeutic fields. Must have CPR certification and complete Handle With Care training within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent; CNA preferred; degree in social work, recreation therapy, or therapeutic discipline.
• Two years of related psychiatric care experience preferred.
• Handle With Care training within 90 days and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• The Mental Health Technician provides continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging from five years through geriatrics.
• Works under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
