Job summary

Resilient Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for the Transitional Living Housing Specialist role. You will monitor participants' physical and emotional well-being, document services, and help identify safe, affordable housing and independent living skills.

The position involves leading individual or group therapy sessions, observing medication administration, and coordinating with clinical teams to support transitions from TLP.

Qualifications

  • Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) required; 21 years old minimum.
  • Valid CPR/First Aid certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor participants' physical and emotional well-being and address needs.
  • Document services in the health record per guidelines.
  • Encourage participation in skills development and social activities.
  • Observe self-administration of medications and maintain records.
  • Lead individual or group therapy sessions as part of procedures.
  • Complete admissions forms and assess mental health status.
  • Support participants with medical appointments and transitions from TLP.

About Our Housing Specialist Position:

Our TLP Housing Specialist monitors our participants' physical and emotionalwell-being and addresses identified needs. This position collaborates withparticipants to identify, obtain, and/or maintain safe and affordableindependent housing, teaches independent living skills, and may observeparticipants' self-administration of medications.

What a Housing Specialist Does at Resilient Health:

  • Monitorsparticipants' physical and emotional well-being to address identified needs
  • Accuratelydocument services provided in the participant's health record as directed underagency guidelines
  • Encourageparticipants to develop work skills and to participate in social, recreational,or other therapeutic activities that enhance interpersonal skills or developsocial relationships
  • Usesappropriate de-escalation techniques Participates in the development andteaching of strategies to promote participant wellness and independence
  • Observesparticipants' self-administration of medications, following physician'sprescriptions and/or hospital procedures and maintain records in accordancewith specified procedures
  • Educatesparticipants in performing tasks, such as bathing or keeping beds, clothing, orliving areas clean
  • Leadsindividual or group therapy sessions as part of specific therapeuticprocedures.
  • Completesadmission forms, assesses mental health status, and obtains participants mentalhealth and treatment history
  • Supportsparticipants with respect to medical appointments as needed
  • Collaborateswith participants and their clinical teams to identify transition options fromTLP ensuring supports are in place for participants
  • Consistentlymeet established performance expectations, including quality, productivity, andadherence to company policies, procedures, and standards

Requirements for This Position:

  • BehavioralHealth Technician (BHT) required (must be 21 years old):
  • HighSchool Diploma or equivalent and six months of full-time behavioralhealth work experience orinternship or Peer Support Certification,or
  • AssociatesDegree and three months of full-time behavioral health experience orinternship or Peer Support Certification, or
  • ABHT Certificate from an accredited college/university, or
  • Bachelor'sDegree, or
  • Master'sDegree
  • Validdriver's license
  • ValidCPR/First Aid certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • ValidFingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Three-yearMotor Vehicle Record that meets our auto insurance carrier's coveragerequirements

Where You Will Be Working:2255 W. NorthernAve., Phx, AZ 85021 and routine work in the community throughout Maricopa County

What This Position Pays:$19.25 - $21.42,depending oneducation and experience
