Job summary

TEAMCare is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in Dauphin County, PA, to provide one-to-one assistance to children and adolescents following individualized treatment plans designed to teach skills and interventions to help them succeed in the classroom, community, and home environments.

The BHT will implement interventions, collect progress data, complete required training, and collaborate with families and the care team to ensure treatment goals are met and progress is documented

Qualifications

• Passion for patient care and a desire to make positive changes.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Word; ability to learn other applications.
• Must possess or have ability to obtain Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearances.
• Valid PA driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Prompt interventions in behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, and peer interaction skills per treatment plan goals.
• Collect daily data and document progress in a prescribed format for each session with the child/adolescent.
• Complete initial and annual training as required.
• Collaborate with client, family, and all other team members to ensure compliance.

Role Responsibilities

• Prompt interventions in the areas of behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, and peer interaction skills based on the treatment plan goals provided by Behavior Consultant or Mobile Therapist.
• Collect daily data and document progress in a prescribed format for each session with the child/adolescent.
• Complete initial and annual training as required.
• Collaborate with client, family, and all other assigned team members to ensure compliance.

What you need to be SUCCESSFUL in the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) role:

• Passion for patient care and a desire to make positive changes in someone's life
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and ability to learn and efficiently utilize other computer applications
• Must possess or have ability to obtain Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearances
• Valid PA Driver's license and auto insurance
