Job summary

TeamCare Behavioral Health in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide one-to-one support for children and adolescents under established treatment plans in classroom, community, and home settings.

The role focuses on implementing behavior interventions, data collection, and collaboration with families and the care team; FT and PT positions are available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children/adolescents preferred.
• Ability to learn new computer applications quickly.
• Act 33/Act 34 and FBI clearances as required.

Responsibilities

• Prompt interventions in behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, and peer interaction skills according to treatment plan goals.
• Collect daily data and document progress in a prescribed format for each session with the child/adolescent.
• Complete initial and annual training as required.
• Collaborate with client, family, and all other assigned team members to ensure compliance.

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides one-to-one assistance to children/adolescents following individual treatment plans designed to teach skills and interventions to help them succeed in the classroom/community/home environment.

Role Responsibilities

• Prompt interventions in the areas of behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, and peer interaction skills based on the treatment plan goals provided by Behavior Consultant or Mobile Therapist.
• Collect daily data and document progress in a prescribed format for each session with the child/adolescent.
• Complete initial and annual training as required.
• Collaborate with client, family, and all other assigned team members to ensure compliance.

What you need to be SUCCESSFUL in the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) role

• Passion for patient care and a desire to make positive changes in someone's life
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and ability to learn and efficiently utilize other computer applications
• Must possess or have ability to obtain Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearances
• Valid PA Driver's license and auto insurance
