Job summary

TeamCare Behavioral Health in Dauphin County, PA, seeks Behavioral Consultant or Mobile Therapist to support children and families with data-driven treatment planning and coordinated care. The role includes collaboration with clinicians, data tracking, and crisis planning in a fast-paced community setting.

FT and PT positions are available. Requirements include direct mental health experience with youth, graduate degree in a relevant field, and eligibility for PA licenses or BCBA certification.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Track client progress with data collection on frequency, intensity, and duration of behaviors.
• Determine need for evaluations such as medication assessment by psychiatrist or testing.
• Collaborate with family and professionals to create daily routines and crisis plans.

Behavioral Consultant/Mobile Therapist

The Behavioral Consultant (BC) and Mobile Therapist (MT) will gather information on the antecedents, behaviors, and consequences in written format to identify treatment goals, determine the type of behavioral intervention needed, and design behavior modification plans that are strength-based, non-aversive, and respect the social-cultural background of the client and family.

Responsibilities

• Develop a treatment plan for child or adolescent involving data integration from multiple sources with regular, data-driven updates
• Direct treatment program including consultation/intervention utilizing behavioral management techniques, regular meetings, and consultation with client, family, and other treatment team members
• Track client progress through organization, review, and charting of data collected by treatment team members regarding frequency, intensity, and duration of targeted behaviors and positive replacement behaviors
• Determine clinical necessity for special evaluations and services such as medication needs assessment by a psychiatrist, psychological testing, or other services
• Collaborate with child/adolescent, family, and other involved professionals to develop daily routines for implementation during times of crisis and transition as well as a 24-hour crisis plan

• Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and ability to learn and efficiently utilize computer applications (i.e., EMR)
• Must possess or have ability to obtain Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearances
• Education:
• minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing direct mental health services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling; OR
• completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field; OR
• graduate degree in ABA; OR
• be licensed in this Commonwealth as a Behavior Specialist; OR
• have a certification as a BCBA
• Valid PA Driver's license and active car insurance
