Job summary

TeamCare Behavioral Health seeks a Behavioral Consultant/Mobile Therapist to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for children and adolescents, coordinating with families and a treatment team. The role emphasizes data-driven progress, crisis planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Candidates should have graduate-level training in psychology, social work, or counseling, plus practicum or licensure such as BCBA or ABA credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of full-time direct mental health service experience for children, youth or young adults with a graduate degree in a related field.
• Alternative: completed practicum with a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education or counseling.
• Alternative: graduate degree in ABA or licensed Behavior Specialist or BCBA certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop a treatment plan for child or adolescent with data integration and regular updates.
• Direct treatment program including consultation/intervention using behavioral management techniques and family collaboration.
• Track client progress with data on frequency, intensity, and duration of target behaviors and positive replacements.
• Determine clinical necessity for evaluations such as medication assessment, testing, or other services.
• Collaborate with family and professionals to create daily routines during crises and transitions, including a 24-hour crisis plan.

Behavioral Consultant/Mobile Therapist

The Behavioral Consultant (BC) and Mobile Therapist (MT) will gather information on the antecedents, behaviors, and consequences in written format to identify treatment goals, determine the type of behavioral intervention needed, and design behavior modification plans that are strength-based, non-aversive, and respect the social-cultural background of the client and family.

Responsibilities

• Develop a treatment plan for child or adolescent involving data integration from multiple sources with regular, data-driven updates
• Direct treatment program including consultation/intervention utilizing behavioral management techniques, regular meetings, and consultation with client, family, and other treatment team members
• Track client progress through organization, review, and charting of data collected by treatment team members regarding frequency, intensity, and duration of targeted behaviors and positive replacement behaviors
• Determine clinical necessity for special evaluations and services such as medication needs assessment by a psychiatrist, psychological testing, or other services
• Collaborate with child/adolescent, family, and other involved professionals to develop daily routines for implementation during times of crisis and transition as well as a 24-hour crisis plan

• Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and ability to learn and efficiently utilize computer applications (i.e., EMR)
• Must possess or have ability to obtain Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearances
• Education:
  • minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing direct mental health services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling; OR
  • completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field; OR
  • graduate degree in ABA; OR
  • be licensed in this Commonwealth as a Behavior Specialist; OR
  • have a certification as a BCBA
• Valid PA Driver's license and active car insurance
