Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our team in Jacksonville, NC. This is a hands-on role supporting adults in behavioral health and addiction treatment within a safe, structured environment.

You will work directly with clients and treatment staff to implement daily programming, monitor safety, document progress, and assist with transportation and activities of daily living. Benefits include health, PTO, 401(k) and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Preferred: Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, mental health, healthcare, residential treatment, or social services.
• Preferred: Experience working with vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, support, and engagement to clients
• Assist with client intake, orientation, and daily routines
• Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and incidents
• Support therapeutic activities, groups, and scheduled programming
• Observe and document medication self‑administration according to protocol
• Assist with transportation to appointments and program activities
• Respond appropriately to behavioral or emotional crises using approved interventions
• Support clients with activities of daily living and dietary needs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and structured residential environment
• Complete required documentation, training, and compliance activities
• Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative team members
