Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare Inc. in Jacksonville, NC is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to support adults in behavioral health and substance use treatment within a structured residential setting.

Join a mission-driven team offering instruction, career growth, and shift differential up to $1.50 on top of the base $17.00/hour. Full-time and part-time roles with medical, dental, and vision benefits are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, support, and engagement to clients.
• Assist with client intake, orientation, and daily routines.
• Monitor and document client behavior, progress, and incidents.
• Support therapeutic activities, groups, and scheduled programming.
• Observe and document medication self-administration according to protocol.
• Assist with transportation to appointments and program activities.
• Respond appropriately to behavioral or emotional crises using approved interventions.
• Support clients with activities of daily living and dietary needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and structured residential environment.
• Complete required documentation, training, and compliance activities.
• Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative team members.

What you'll do

As a BHT, you'll work directly with clients and the treatment team to support daily programming, client safety, and recovery goals. Responsibilities include:

What you'll need

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, or ability to obtain upon hire

Preferred:

• Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, mental health, healthcare, residential treatment, or social services
• Experience working with vulnerable populations
