Job summary

Centerpoint Health - Paris is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support adolescents in our Behavioral Health Adolescent Unit. Working under an RN, you will help ensure safe, individualized care focused on stabilization, healing and growth in a structured environment.

You will monitor patients, assist with daily living activities, follow treatment plans, de-escalate crises and document progress for the care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Nursing Assistant Certification (SRNA/CNA) preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Handle with Care certification required within 7 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of an RN, assists in assuring optimal patient care.
• Monitor patients closely and ensure a safe, secure environment.
• Assist patients with hygiene, meals, routines, and basic care needs.
• Follow care plans developed by clinicians, including leading or supporting therapeutic activities.
• De-escalate situations and respond to behavioral or emotional crises.
• Record patient progress and communicate updates to nurses, therapists, and the care team.

How You'll Contribute
