Job summary

College Medical Center Phoenix is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to join the Nursing Department for the NOC/Overnight Shift. The BHT will support licensed staff in providing safe patient care as delegated, focusing on cleaning, showers, rounds, and observation.

This is an entry-level patient care role with no therapy or case management. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patients, and providing relief coverage during breaks.

Qualifications

• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers card required.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• CPI certification within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED required; minimum one year of experience in an acute psychiatric inpatient setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists licensed staff in patient care per individual treatment plans.
• Observes and monitors patients' progress and reports observations to the appropriate staff.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides staff with relief coverage for break periods by supervising patients or answering telephones as needed.
• Remains flexible and adapts to changes in assignments or priorities to provide the most effective support for patients.

Job Summary

We are seeking Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join the Nursing Department at College Medical Center Phoenix for the NOC/Overnight Shift. The BHT will support licensed staff in providing safe and therapeutic patient care as delegated, in adherence to policies and procedures. This is an entry-level patient care, nursing assistant role focused on cleaning, assisting with showers, patient rounds, and observation. No therapy or case management will be performed in this role.

Duties and Qualifications

• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers card required
• Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Assists licensed staff in the provision of patient care according to individual treatment plans

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CMC Phoenix roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that CMC Phoenix in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
