Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in social science required.
• At least two years of experience delivering activities programming for individuals with serious mental illness preferred.
• Must maintain TB documentation and CPR/AED certification.
• Background check and agency security clearance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Participates in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings.
• Implements interventions for patients in a correctional mental health setting.
• Provides therapeutic support services including treatment programming, psychosocial groups, crisis management, social rehab and leisure activities.
• Assists in preparing and maintaining records and data management for mental health treatment and scheduling.
• Supports operation of telepsychiatry services.

Rate of Pay: $26.91/hr to $28.58/hr Depending on ExperienceCenturion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Illinois Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at the Hill Correctional Facility located in Galesburg, IL.The Behavioral Health Technician participates in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings and implements interventions for patients in a correctional mental health/healthcare setting. Behavioral Health Technician responsibilities include providing therapeutic support services, including treatment focused programming, psychosocial groups, crisis management, social rehabilitation, and leisure activities, as well as providing formal education to patients in routine activities of daily living (hygiene, eating, recreation, etc.). Behavioral Health Technicians, also assist in the preparation and maintenance of records and data management pertaining to the mental health treatment and scheduling of patients. This includes providing support for the operation of telepsychiatry services.
