About Orlando Recovery Center (ORC):

Located near Lake Ellenor in Central Florida, ORC offers a full continuum of care for individuals seeking recovery from addiction and co-occurring disorders. Our 93-bed facility provides medical detox, residential treatment, intensive outpatient programs, and aftercare services. Discover more about ORC on our website.

Responsibilities:

The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for observing and monitoring patients, reporting as needed, and maintaining a safe environment. They work closely with the facility leadership to ensure success, including:

1. Communicating and enforcing facility program rules professionally and fairly.
2. Reporting patient behavior to supervisors and clinical teams.
3. Addressing problem behaviors with verbal de-escalation techniques.
4. Maintaining timely and accurate documentation.
5. Ensuring clinical records are secure and confidential.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associate's degree and at least one year of experience in a similar role preferred.
• Alternatively, two years of relevant experience or successful completion of ARS training.
• Experience with children and adolescents is preferred for adult facilities.
• Good driving record, relevant licenses/certifications (e.g., Counselor license, Medication Technician, CBHT, CNA, MA), CPR, and First Aid certification.
