PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Entry level client serving position for individuals with limited counseling skills and/or experience. Behavioral Health Techs provide direct supervision of clients and responsibility for the health, safety and security of clients assigned; transport clients in approved agency vehicles. Under appropriate supervision, may provide information and education to clients in a group setting.Techs work assigned shifts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • One year of experience working in the field of behavioral health preferred
  • Must be cleared by PAR auto insurance carrier to operate PAR vehicles
  • Must maintain a driving record that meets agency insurance standards
  • Successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review is required prior to final employment approval
  • Must maintain current training as required by Operation PAR, Inc. policies
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Ability to write accurately and legibly
  • Moderate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows-based computers
  • Ability to accurately type at least 40 words per minute.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
  • Ability to sit in meetings for extended periods of time
  • Ability to move throughout program facilities both indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds
  • Good hearing and vision
