Pyramid Healthcare’s Silvermist Poconos location in Lake Ariel, PA is hiring a Full-Time Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM). Duties include assisting with intake, providing client support, maintaining logs, and ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, reliability, and the ability to handle crisis situations. Prior behavioral health experience is preferred but not required; driver’s license is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Previous mental health, substance use, behavioral health, or residential treatment experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience facilitating groups or activities is a plus.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging or crisis situations.
• Strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the intake process for new clients entering the program.
• Engage with clients and provide support throughout their treatment experience.
• Maintain accurate client logs and shift communication records.
• Respond to client concerns and needs.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment.
• Assist with crisis intervention as appropriate.
• Coordinate and support client activities and programming.
• Ensure clients follow daily treatment schedules.
• Support treatment plan objectives.
• Conduct bed checks and complete shift documentation.
• Monitor medication lines and organized medication process.
• Conduct searches as required by program policy.
• Monitor client safety and medical needs and communicate concerns to staff.
• Communicate effectively with the treatment team and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
