We're looking for a Behavioral Health Technician in the Healthcare Systems and Services industry, located in Sugar Land, Texas, United States.

Are you a compassionate caregiver with at least a high school diploma (or GED) living in Sugar Land, TX?

Centria Health is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians to work one-on-one with children and families with autism. Your responsibilities include implementing learning programs, collecting data on behaviors, communicating with stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality, and collaborating with your direct supervisor. You will work in the child's home within 15 minutes of your residence, building trust and providing care.

Our comprehensive paid behavioral health training will equip you to support children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), guiding their developmental growth and helping them manage behaviors, including aggression. Under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will apply evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

What your day will look like:

• Providing one-on-one developmental and behavioral support in the child's home, adapting techniques to various behaviors, including confrontational styles.
• Partnering with a BCBA to implement individualized intervention plans, which may involve physical and mental exercises.
• Using evidence-based techniques to engage children through activities that may include standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and carrying children or objects up to 50 pounds.
