Job summary

Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC seeks a Behavioral Health Tech to support patients with daily living activities and direct care. You will observe patient behavior, report changes, and assist with interventions while maintaining safety on the unit.

The role requires BLS and HWC within 45 days, a high school diploma or equivalent, and CNA preferred. The position offers comprehensive benefits, retirement options, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• BLS must be completed within 45 days of hire.
• Handle with Care (HWC) training must be completed within 45 days of hire.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA at least preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides or assists with direct patient care, diagnostics and therapeutic interventions.
• Observes and records patient behavior; reports changes to nursing staff and suggests modifications to the treatment plan.
• Provides crisis intervention with incoming calls and on the unit to maintain safety.

How You'll Contribute

A Behavioral Health Tech who excels in this role:

• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living.
• Provides or assists with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.
• Observes and records patient behavior and activities. Reports any changes in physical, mental or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggests modifications to the treatment plan.
• Provides crisis intervention with incoming calls and on the unit to maintain safety.
