Job summary

The Emily Program seeks a Behavioral Health Technician to support adolescent residents in a residential setting. The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, assisting with admissions and program activities.

Key duties include participation in meals and structured activities, engaging residents, documenting observations, and upholding policies with hourly room checks. Evening and overnight shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with one year of mental health experience.
• Bachelor's degree in mental health field with 0–1 year of experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be authorized to drive.
• Previous direct mental health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the multi-disciplinary team on care plan and treatment, assisting in admissions, supporting or assisting clients in programming.
• Participate in therapeutic meals and snacks and provide support during structured outings and recreation.
• Be available to engage, challenge, and support residents as needed. Report observations and document in charts.
• Monitor and support bathroom use per client treatment direction. Monitor and document exercise.
• Enforce appropriate policies with residents and complete all tasks including hourly room-checks.

Position Overview

Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT's) monitor and assist adolescent clients in the residential milieu, lead activities designed to help the residents adjust to living in a community setting and assist the residents in gaining the skills needed to manage their eating disorder. BHT's play an integral role in the day-to-day function of the clients' experience.

Schedule

• Full Time 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) focused on Evening & Overnight shifts

  • Evening Shifts: 2pm-10:30pm, 4pm-12:30am
  • Overnight Shifts: 10:00pm-6:30am
  • Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday)
  • Schedule is made a month at a time with a combination of both day and evening shifts

Compensation Disclosure

• BHT I: Starting hourly range between $18.00-$21.00

Final Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position
