Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for part-time, hourly work in Pennsylvania.

The role provides intensive behavioral health interventions to children and adolescents in home, school, and community settings, under the supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional. You will join an interdisciplinary treatment team, implement specific treatment goals, and help families support youths to function in the least restrictive setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 40+ hours of training.
• Minimum 2 years of behavioral health services experience.
• Behavioral Health Certification or ABA Certification or RBT certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive behavioral health interventions in home, school, and community settings.
• Work under supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Implement specific treatment goals and sound clinical interventions.
• Assist families to support youths to function in the least restrictive setting.

Job description

Status:Part Time Hourly FLSA classification:Non-Exempt

Summary of the Position:Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is a non-traditional way of providing intense individualized mental health interventions and support services in a variety of community based settings to children/adolescents with psychiatric diagnoses and their families.

• These settings include, but are not limited to home, school, community settings (camp, daycare, etc.).
• The BHT is supervised by a Qualified Mental Health Professional, participates as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team and implements specific treatment goals.
• Their goal is to implement sound clinical interventions and supportive services to enable children/adolescents to maintain and function to the best of their ability in the least restrictive setting.

Position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay and activity reimbursement.

Qualifications/Requirements: Must meet one of the following:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and ability to completed 40+ hours of training OR
• Minimum of 2 years of experience of provision of behavioral health services OR
• Behavioral Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from accredited organization OR
• Certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)

Reimbursement based on education and experience

Additional Requirements:

• Must be extremely organized
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be professional, flexile, and have the ability to work independently

Bi-Lingual is a plus but not required.

Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance coverage.
