Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to deliver intensive, individualized behavioral health interventions to children and adolescents with psychiatric diagnoses in home, school, and community settings in the Harrisburg area.

Under supervision of a Qualified Mental Health Professional, you will participate on an interdisciplinary team and implement specified treatment goals to support clients in the least restrictive setting.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the following: High School Diploma or Equivalent and 40+ hours of training; or 2+ years of behavioral health services; or Behavioral Health Certification or BCBA; or RBT certification.
• Experience working with at-risk youth and families.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; EHR systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive, individualized behavioral health interventions in home, school, and community settings.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team under a Qualified Mental Health Professional and implement treatment goals.

Status:Part Time Hourly

FLSA classification:Non-Exempt

Hourly Rate: $18.00

Summary of the Position:Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is a non-traditional way of providing intense individualized mental health interventions and support services in a variety of community-based settings to children/adolescents with psychiatric diagnoses and their families.

• These settings include, but are not limited to home, school, community settings (camp, daycare, etc.).
• The BHT is supervised by a Qualified Mental Health Professional, participates as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team, and implements specific treatment goals.
• Their goal is to implement sound clinical interventions and supportive services to enable children/adolescents to maintain and function to the best of their ability in the least restrictive setting.

Flexible Schedule - up to 40 hours per week; non-traditional hours.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Must meet one of the following:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and ability to completed 40+ hours of training OR
• Minimum of 2 years of experience of provision of behavioral health services OR
• Behavioral Health Certification or Behavior Analysis Certification from accredited organization OR
• Certification as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT)
• Experience working with at-risk youth and families.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
• Strong Verbal and Written communication skills
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance required.
