Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician at the Graham Correctional Facility in Hillsboro, IL. The role supports treatment planning, delivers therapeutic activities, and helps manage psychosocial groups and crisis response for inmates with serious mental illness.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a social science, Excel scheduling skills, CPR/AED certification, and a background check. The schedule is 12pm–8pm, Monday to Friday, with eligibility for shift differential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science required.
• Two years plus experience in activities programming for patients with serious mental illness preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required and must be maintained.
• Excel skills for scheduling databases and data management.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic support services and participate in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings.
• Deliver treatment-focused programming, psychosocial groups, crisis management, social rehabilitation, and leisure activities.
• Assist in education of patients in daily living activities (hygiene, eating, recreation, etc.).
• Prepare and maintain records and data management for mental health treatment and scheduling of patients.
• Support telepsychiatry services as needed.

Rate of Pay: $26.91 Hourly to $28.58 Hourly Depending on Experience / Plus Shift DifferentialCenturion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Illinois Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at the Graham Correctional Facility located in Hillsboro, IL.The Behavioral Health Technician participates in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings and implements interventions for patients in a correctional mental health/healthcare setting. Behavioral Health Technician responsibilities include providing therapeutic support services, including treatment focused programming, psychosocial groups, crisis management, social rehabilitation, and leisure activities, as well as providing formal education to patients in routine activities of daily living (hygiene, eating, recreation, etc.). Behavioral Health Technicians, also assist in the preparation and maintenance of records and data management pertaining to the mental health treatment and scheduling of patients. This includes providing support for the operation of telepsychiatry services.
