Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for the Graham Correctional Facility in Hillsboro, IL. This full-time role supports mental health treatment plans, therapeutic programming, and crisis management within a correctional setting.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a social science, Excel scheduling skills, and CPR/AED certification. Evening hours are 12pm-8pm, Monday through Friday, with proper background clearance processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a social science required.
• Two years or more experience providing activities programming for patients with serious mental illness preferred.
• Competencies with Excel to create and maintain scheduling databases.
• Must maintain TB documentation and CPR/AED certification.
• Must pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic support services, including treatment-focused programming and psychosocial groups.
• Assist in crisis management and social rehabilitation activities.
• Deliver education to patients in activities of daily living (hygiene, eating, recreation).
• Support preparation and maintenance of records and data management for mental health treatment and scheduling.
• Provide telepsychiatry support as directed by leadership.
