Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Aurora, CO is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for its inpatient detox and residential facility. You will manage daily operations, supervise and train the BHT team, handle crises with escalation to leadership, and foster a warm recovery environment for clients.

The role emphasizes strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and boundaries, with preference for a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, CPR certification, and sobriety if in recovery.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and CPR certification preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, empathetic personality with ability to set firm boundaries.
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage all daily residential operations (i.e. Intake, supervision, events, transportation, food service, medications etc.).
• Train and support BHT team in all operations and responsibilities.
• Escalate any concerns or crises to Lead Behavioral Health Technician.
• Oversee client engagement and morale, maintaining a warm and positive recovery environment.
• Ensure client and BHT compliance to all Avenues rules, policies and procedures.
