Full Time, Nights
Under the supervision of nursing staff, provides direct patient care and assists in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
Reports to: Senior Behavioral Health Director
FLSA: Non-exempt
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
License: CNA preferred
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 45 days of hire; Handle with Care (HWC) must be obtained within 45 days of hire
Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in stressful environments and take appropriate actions.
Essential Functions:
Assists patients with activities of daily living.
Provides or assists with direct patient care, diagnostic procedures, and therapeutic interventions.
Observes and records patient behavior and activities, reporting changes to nursing staff and suggesting modifications to the treatment plan.
Provides crisis intervention during calls and on the unit to ensure safety.
Non-Essential Functions: Review and comply with LifePoint Code of Conduct and all relevant policies and procedures.
