GAMUT Behavioral Services is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for the Intensive Behavioral Health Service Program (IBHS). GAMUT offers expert ABA services to ensure meaningful, life-changing improvements in our clients' lives. Our IBHS Program provides services in home, community, and school settings.

Job Overview

Work with children with autism or other developmental challenges by providing individual or ABA therapy and implementing programming defined by an individualized treatment plan under the guidance of a BCBA and/or LBS.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide ABA therapy for children and young adults in various settings to support behavior management and skill acquisition.
  • Follow specific protocols for each client and implement individualized ABA programs as outlined in the treatment plan, under supervision.
  • Document sessions by recording data, writing session notes, and managing timesheets.
  • Build rapport with clients and families, and collaborate with caregivers to meet client goals.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors about case updates, schedule changes, and availability.
  • Attend supervision meetings, training, and staff meetings as required.
  • Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and timely communication with families.
  • Participate in all required supervision and staff activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Valid background screening and clearance.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting children up to 30 lbs, sitting, reaching, standing, kneeling, and running.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Organized, adaptable, and receptive to feedback.
  • One year experience working with children preferred.
Credentialing Requirements

All documents must be completed before starting:

  • PA Child Abuse Clearance
  • PA Criminal Clearance
  • PA DHS FBI Clearance (Use code 1KG738)
  • TB Screening (within last 3 months)
  • Education documentation (Diploma or Transcripts)
  • Mandated Reporter Training
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • 40-hour RBT Task List Training
  • RBT certification (if applicable)
