Job summary

The Wood Group is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to support residents with behavioral health challenges, promoting stability and well-being through structured care and empathetic support. This role emphasizes safety, dignity, and teamwork within our Texas facilities.

Weekend overnight shift from 4pm to 8am is available, and the position includes benefits such as healthcare, dental, vision, PTO, and paid training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience in mental health, behavioral health, or social services is advantageous.
• Valid Texas Driver's License is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
• Knowledge of behavioral health practices, safety protocols, and crisis intervention techniques.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted.
• Responsible for completing items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Responsible for the supervision of all resident medication procedures. Ensure that all residents receive their proper medication at the proper time. All narcotics will be counted and documented on each shift.
• Daily chart documentation
• Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook.

Below are a few job duties to expect as a Behavioral Health Tech:

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
