The position offers an overnight weekend shift (Saturday & Sunday, 4pm–8am) and requires a high school diploma, a Texas driver’s license, and strong interpersonal skills. Prior related experience is valued, with paid training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License is required.
• Behavioral health certification in related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in mental health, behavioral health, or social services is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals; follow the facility menu as posted.
• Complete items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Treat all residents with dignity and respect.
• Supervise resident medication procedures and document narcotics counts on each shift.
• Maintain daily chart documentation.
• Familiarize yourself with The Wood Group’s policies and procedures.

Weekend Shift Available

• Saturday & Sunday - Overnight shift (4pm to 8am)

Below are a few job duties to expect as a Behavioral Health Tech:

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
• Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted.
• Responsible for completing items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
• Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Responsible for the supervision of all resident medication procedures. Ensure that all residents receive their proper medication at the proper time. All narcotics will be counted and documented on each shift.
• Daily chart documentation
• Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook.

Requirements
