Job summary

Phoenix House Florida is seeking a full-time staff member for its adult residential program in Citra. You will ensure safety, perform facility checks, monitor the environment, and remain a visible presence in the community.

Responsibilities include coordinating activities, transporting residents to appointments, leading meetings and groups, maintaining documentation, and upholding policy compliance while working with a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Proof of High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in substance abuse treatment or mental health setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Able to work with diverse populations.
• Must pass MVR check and have valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and compliance through regular facility checks and monitoring.
• Communicate with residents and coordinate activity transitions.
• Provide transportation for residents using company vehicles.
• Lead or assist meetings, groups, seminars, and workshops.
• Open/close facility runs and ensure security.
• Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety in housing and dorm areas.
• Document daily activities and debrief with incoming staff.
• Report incidents to supervisor and handle emergencies.
• Screen for contraband and perform drug screens as directed.
• Ensure access to medication and adherence to policies.
• Participate in staff meetings and training; master the electronic health record system.
