Job summary

Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program in Crownsville, MD seeks a Behavioral Health Tech III to support patients from admission to discharge, focusing on safety, interventions, and group facilitation. The role collaborates with clinical teams, assists nursing staff, and documents shift notes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two or more years experience in mental health, substance use or eating disorder field required.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver’s License.
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire, training provided.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid, plus Food Handling/Safety certification within 30 days of hire, training provided.
• Substance Use Division: Minimum 1 year sobriety if in recovery.
• Eating Disorder Division: Minimum 1 year recovery from eating disorder if in recovery.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support patients through the treatment experience from admission through discharge.
• Ensure patient safety and provide interventions as appropriate.
• Lead psychoeducational groups and support patients.
• Assist nursing staff with duties, for example: patient supervision and vitals.
• Document shift notes and group notes by end of shift.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment and perform basic housekeeping duties.
