Job summary

Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program in Crownsville, MD seeks a Behavioral Health Tech III to support patients from admission through discharge. You will assist with daily activities, monitor safety, and help implement treatment plans.

The role requires 2+ years in mental health settings, a valid driver’s license, CPI/CPR/First Aid certifications, and a willingness to work evenings on-site. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with on-site full-time hours and a pay range aligned to program policy.

Qualifications

• Two or more years experience in mental health, substance use or eating disorder field.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver’s License.
• Must obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire; CPR/AED/First Aid within 30 days.
• Substance Use Division: minimum 1 year sobriety if in recovery; Eating Disorder Division: similar requirement.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree preferred; high school diploma acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to DBH policies and represents DBH values.
• Provides exemplary customer service to all patients.
• Facilitates daily patient needs and supports treatment planning.
• Assist Nursing staff with duties, monitor safety, and respond to crises.
• Lead daily groups and participate in shift notes and documentation.
