Job summary

Center for Discovery in Chicago is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech II to support patients throughout the treatment experience, from admission to discharge. The role focuses on safety, patient interventions, leading psychoeducational groups, and assisting clinical teams with care planning.

You will monitor patient activity, document shift and group notes, assist nursing staff, transport patients when needed, and ensure a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1+ years experience in mental health/substance use/eating disorder field preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all policies and procedures.
• Provide patient safety and interventions; lead psychoeducational groups.
• Assist Nursing staff with duties and monitor/ document shift notes.
• Facilitate patient daily needs and programs per schedule.
• Support treatment planning and discharge processes; document accordingly.
