Job summary

Center for Discovery in Orange, CA is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech III to support patients throughout admission to discharge. You will assist with safety, interventions, and daily activities, while leading psychoeducational groups and aiding in treatment planning.

Responsibilities include collaborating with nursing, documenting notes, and ensuring a safe, organized environment on site. This role requires relevant health experience and active certifications.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of experience in mental health, substance use, or eating disorder field.
• Must obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid, along with Food Handling/Safety certification within 30 days of hire.
• Substance Use/Eating Disorder division: sobriety or recovery requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient safety and interventions throughout treatment.
• Lead psychoeducational groups and participate in treatment planning.
• Assist Nursing staff with duties including vitals and room/patient searches.
• Provide transportation services when pre-qualified to drive a company vehicle.
• Document shift notes, group notes, and required records daily.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and report safety concerns.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree preferred

High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred

Valid State Driver’s License
