Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech II to support patients through treatment from admission to discharge. The role emphasizes patient safety, interventions, and leading psychoeducational groups on-site in Chicago, IL.

This on-call PRN position supports the clinical team and daily program operations. The BHT II will assist nursing staff, document significant patient issues, and help implement individual treatment plans while staying compliant with facility policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
• 1+ year experience in mental health, substance use, or eating disorder field preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to DBH policies and procedures.
• Provide patient safety and interventions.
• Lead psychoeducational groups.
• Support patient during admission and discharge processes.
• Complete shift notes, group notes, and documentation by end of shift.
• Provide transportation services for patients (if pre-qualified to drive).
• Monitor patient activity and maintain safe environment.
