Job summary

Discovery Mood & Anxiety Program seeks a Behavioral Health Tech I to support patients from admission through discharge. You will help with safety, interventions, and daily activities, aligning with clinical plans and program schedules.

Responsibilities include documenting shift notes, assisting nursing staff, facilitating groups, and ensuring a respectful, confidential, and organized environment on site at Shawnee, KS. Competitive hourly pay and full-time schedule offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted State Driver’s License.
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire, CPR/AED/First Aid training provided.
• Substance Use Division: 1 year of sobriety if in recovery.
• Eating Disorder Division: 1 year recovery from eating disorder if in recovery.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all policies and procedures and supports safety.
• Assist patients through the treatment process and daily needs.
• Lead psychoeducational groups and document shift notes timely.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Observe infection control and ensure a safe, organized environment.
• Coordinate with nursing staff and clinical team for patient plans.
