Burrell Behavioral Health in Columbia, MO seeks a Behavioral Health Technician I to provide direct, compassionate care and support for clients with behavioral health needs. You will monitor safety, assist with daily activities, and help coordinate treatments within the Rapid Access Unit.

You’ll assess concerns, document changes, assist with personal care, and participate in treatment planning. This full-time role includes benefits, training, and opportunities for growth, with a focus on recovery

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent and two years of responsible employment.
• Experience in Human Services or a related field is preferred.
• For St. Louis County Programs: Bachelor’s Degree, or MAADC I or II.
• For Residential Care Facility: LIMA credential and insulin certification within 90 days.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct oversight and support to clients/patients, ensuring safety throughout daily activities.
• Monitor vital signs and health indicators; escalate to medical intervention as needed.
• Facilitate group education and structured activities to promote recovery skills.
• Document and report exceptional behaviors or concerns related to clients/patients.
• Assist with personal care needs such as grooming, bathing, and dressing when required.
• Maintain records of medication administration and monitor self-administration by clients.
• Participate as an active member of the treatment team to identify needs and strengths.
• Ensure compliance with policies and medication storage and documentation protocols.
• Provide transportation to appointments as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as requested by supervisors.
