Burrell Behavioral Health in Columbia, MO is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician I to provide direct care and support to clients in a compassionate, safe setting. You will monitor health indicators, assist with daily activities, and help implement group education and recovery skills.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent and two years of responsible employment.
• For St. Louis County Programs: Bachelor’s Degree, or MAADC I or II.
• For Residential Care Facility: Level 1 Med Aid credential (LIMA) and Insulin Certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight and support to clients, ensuring safety throughout daily activities.
• Monitor vital signs and health indicators and escalate to medical intervention when needed.
• Facilitate group education and structured activities to promote engagement and recovery skills.
• Document and report exceptional behaviors or concerns related to clients.
• Assist clients with personal care needs such as grooming, bathing, and dressing when required.
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and monitoring self-administration.
• Participate as an active member of the treatment team to identify strengths and needs.
• Ensure compliance with policies including medication storage and documentation.
