Job summary

Brightli in Salem, MO is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician I to support recovery services with direct, compassionate care. You will monitor clients, respond to crises, and participate in group activities under a treatment team's guidance.

The role emphasizes empathy, strong communication, and safe, therapeutic environments, with responsibilities spanning daily care, documentation, and teamwork to promote recovery and wellness.

Qualifications

• High School education OR equivalent and two (2) years of responsible employment.
• Experience in Human Services or a related field preferred.
• For Residential Care Facility (RCF): Credential as Level 1 Med Aid (LIMA) and Insulin Certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Admit, supervise, monitor, transfer, and discharge clients/patients.
• Ensure monitoring of vital signs and respond to critical symptoms, escalating to medical intervention.
• Facilitate group rehabilitative support, education, recovery skills, or recreation groups as scheduled.
• Document and report any exceptional behavior and concerns related to client interactions.
• Assist clients/patients with personal care and daily activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of client medications and monitor self-administration.
• Foster adaptive behavior and positive social interaction among clients.
• Participate with the treatment team to identify client strengths and needs.
