Job summary

Sea Grove Recovery in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician to support adults in substance use and co-occurring disorders. The role involves milieu management, rounds, and accurate documentation to assist the clinical team in treatment planning.

You will work with nurses and social workers to reinforce coping strategies, assist with daily living activities, and transport clients to external appointments when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; 1-3 years of related work experience preferred.
• Eligible to become a Peer Counselor as part of career development.
• Experience in behavioral health settings is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Active member of the treatment team providing continuous patient care and supervision.
• Conduct milieu management including rounds and daily observations with accurate documentation.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques and safety protocols as needed.
• Collaborate with nurses, social workers, and staff to reinforce coping strategies.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, hygiene, meals, and activities.
• Escort or transport clients to community activities or external appointments.
