Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in a behavioral health, mental health, or healthcare setting.
• Experience with patients with psychiatric disorders, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders preferred.
• De-escalation training within 30 days of hire.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with daily activities, monitoring behavior and safety every 15 minutes.
• Observe, document, and report patient behaviors and responses to interventions.
• Assist in implementing treatment plans under supervision of behavioral health professionals.
• Engage patients in structured activities and therapeutic programming.
• Respond to crisis situations with de-escalation and safety measures as per protocol.
• Maintain a safe, confidential, and respectful environment following procedures.
• Assist with vital signs monitoring and basic clinical data collection per guidelines.
• Collaborate with nurses and therapists to support patient progress.
• Adhere to HIPAA and professional boundaries; educate patients on coping and daily living skills.
