Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) seeks a Behavioral Health Partner to provide direct 1:1 care and observation for patients with complex behavior and mental health needs under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role supports safety, de-escalation, and therapeutic engagement in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The schedule includes day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm with 3x12 hour shifts per week, plus weekend and holiday requirements.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of medical/clinical experience preferred.
• Psych Tech certification, Psych Aide certification or Behavior tech training/certification preferred.
• Experience working with complex behavior or mental health patients preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct 1:1 care and observation for patients under RN supervision.
• Support safety, crisis intervention, and de-escalation as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing and therapy teams to implement care plans.

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Behavioral Health Partner provides direct 1:1 care and observation for patients including those with complex behavior and/or mental health needs under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 1+ years of medical/clinical experience preferred. Psych Tech certification, Psych Aide certification or Behavior tech training/certification preferred. Experience working with complex behavior or mental health patients preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education/Licensure/Certification: High School Graduate or GED, or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience. Current BLS from American Heart Association required. Completes crisis intervention, de-escalation training within 30 days of hire.
