Job summary

Silver Pines Treatment Center in Mahanoy City, PA is seeking a Per Diem Behavioral Health Technician to support clients throughout shifts, assist with daily living activities, monitor safety, and maintain a therapeutic milieu.

The role emphasizes documentation, collaboration with the clinical team, crisis intervention, and engaging clients in activities; requires high school diploma and 1+ year mental health experience; CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Requires 1+ year experience working with clients with mental health issues.
• Valid Drivers license preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification, or willingness to complete within 30 days.
• TB test clearance.
• Must complete BHT and CPI Training within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with clinical team to determine interventions for individual clients.
• Engages clients in milieu activities and group settings throughout the day.
• Prompts clients to complete ADLs and maintains room hygiene checks.
• Conducts client drug screening, pregnancy tests, and breathalyzers as needed.
• Documenting services, incident reports, shift notes in a timely manner.
• Supports discharge processes and admissions preparations.
