Job summary

Recreate Behavioral Health Network is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support clients on their journey to wellness in person. You will help create a safe, therapeutic environment and document patient information to keep care coordinated and effective.

This role requires at least 1 year of behavioral health experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a mental/behavioral health setting (preferred).
• Understanding of 12-step recovery process.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and records.
• Document patient information clearly.
• Ensure patients attend scheduled activities.
• Provide appropriate help during emergencies.
• Build positive relationships with staff.
• Follow infection control guidelines at all times.
• Provide a safe, therapeutic environment for staff and clients.
• Submit daily reports to management.

Job Duties Include:

• Understands and maintains confidentiality of patient information and records.
• Documents patient information.
• Ensures patients attend scheduled activities.
• Provides appropriate help during emergency situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Builds positive relationships with staff.
• Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment.
• Follows Infection Control Guidelines at all times.
• Provides a safe, therapeutic environment for staff and clients.
• Provides a daily report to management.
• Facilitates client’s rules and responsibilities. Reports noncompliance to management.
• Collects urine samples from clients
• Transports clients as necessary

Requirements:

• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours
• Must have an acceptable Driving History
• At least one year of experience in a mental/behavioral health setting.
• An understanding of the 12 step recovery process
