Job summary

Qualifications

• Care for pediatric/adolescent patients as assigned; follow safety goals.

Responsibilities

• Obtain initial information from patient/guardian and document on assessment form.
• Assist with unit orientation and patient rights explanations.
• Observe and document patient status; report changes to Charge Nurse.
• Assist with specimen collection and lab transport.
• Support milieu structure and encourage group participation.
• Provide hygiene and nutritional assistance and document data.
• Assist with activities, groups, and treatment team decisions.
• Monitor sharps use and respond to medical emergencies.
